About the Watch Strap

The strap is in direct contact with the skin and is easily soiled by sweat and dirt. Therefore, if you don't take care of it, the strap may be quickly damaged, or cause skin rashes, stained cuffs, etc. In order to ensure that you can use your watch for a long time, you need to take care of the strap regularly.

1.Metal straps

  • Even stainless steel straps can rust if left unattended to moisture, sweat, and stains.
  • If you do not take good care of it, it may cause a rash or stain the cuffs of your shirt yellow or gold.
  • Wipe off moisture, sweat and stains with a soft cloth as soon as possible.
  • Dirt between the crevices of the strap can be removed by washing with water or using a soft toothbrush. (To prevent the body of the watch from getting wet, protect the body of the watch with kitchen wrap, etc., before washing.) Wipe off any residual water with a soft cloth.
  • Wipe off residual moisture with a soft cloth.
  • Even in the case of a titanium watchband, a strong stainless steel is used for the strap pins, and these stainless steel pins may rust.
  • If rust develops further, it may cause the pins to bulge or slide out, causing the watch to fall off. The opposite may also occur such as the outer cover not coming off.
  • In the unlikely event that a strap pin protrudes, this may result in injury, and the watch should be discontinued immediately and repairs contacted.

2.Leather straps

  • When you get wet or sweat, wipe it gently with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture.
  • Do not place the strap in a place exposed to direct sunlight.
  • Light-colored straps are more likely to become dirty, so care should be taken when using them.
  • Even if the body of the watch is a reinforced water-resistant type (10-BAR/20-BAR water-resistant) for daily use, do not use a leather strap (unless it is a fully water-resistant type) when swimming or engaging in water-related work.

3.Silicone straps

  • Due to the characteristics of the material, the strap is very easy to get dirty, and sometimes water seeps through and discoloration occurs. If the strap becomes dirty, it should be wiped clean with a damp cloth or wet paper towel.
  • Silicone, unlike Other materials, may break at the crack if a crack occurs. Care should be taken not to scratch it with sharp knives etc. on the front end.

About rashes and allergies
Rashes caused by watch straps can be triggered by a variety of causes, ranging from allergic reactions due to metal or leather to discomfort caused by stains or friction with the strap.

Appointment of band size
The band should leave a little room in its length and allow for good ventilation when in use. When the watch is worn on the hand, it is appropriate to insert one finger.
